How do sessions happen?
We meet for one-hour sessions either via phone or video call.
Can we check in between sessions?
Yes! I'm available via email or phone for encouragement and advice for the duration of our work together.
How much time should I plan to spend on my homework between sessions?
It varies, but at least 30 minutes, and no more than 2 hours.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! You can make a proposal that works for you, and we'll see if it works for me too. Thus far I have been able to find a suitable arrangement with everyone who is interested. Don't let money be the thing that holds you back.
What about sliding scale payment options or scholarships?
Even though I think capitalism sucks, I don’t offer sliding scale these days. I used to, but I found that it never quite had the effect that I was hoping for. That said, I’m deeply committed to financial accessibility, so let’s find a way to make it work!
How long is the program?
This is a four-month commitment. We begin with a focused month of 4 weekly sessions to suss out your biggest areas for growth, then switch to every-other week meetings for the remaining sessions, to give you time to implement the tools and insight you've gained.
What if I can't commit to a six-month program right now but I still want to work with you?
I'm so glad you asked! I occasionally work with folks for less than six months, particularly if you've got just a couple of issues you want to work on (rather than a whole life re-design) or if we've worked together in the past. Think this is you? Schedule a call and we’ll talk it all out!
What if I'm dealing with big issues like grief, addiction or debilitating depression?
In that case, we're probably not the best fit. But I can recommend a great therapist, cause I've SO been there.
